Which means I’ll get about 500 unsubs, because I know you guys, and when a post is too lengthy, you unsub. So I’m assuming you’ll do the same if it’s too short.

It’s a GiveSendGo. I finally got a new book deal on the table (my old book back in print plus a new one about Holocaust denial), but at this point I’m not sure I wanna take it. Because after seeing you guys gift a white trash mamma $800,000 for saying the n-word to a child, I’m unconvinced anyone cares about accurate historiography. I doubt it’s “based” enough.
So that GiveSendGo link will determine if I take the deal or not. This ain’t a gag. If I hit my target, I write the new book and republish my old one. If not, so be it. It’s not about the money, but the interest level.
Is it there? We’ll see.

Okay, I pitched in, but if we're crowdfunding a book, where's the rewards, the stretch goals?
"For $250, receive a signed copy of the book."
"For $500, have your name in the acknowledgements."
"For $1,000, I will personally berate *you* in the book for being a Holocaust Denier."
This post started as a joke, but, come to think of it ... for two different crowdfunds, I ponied up extra cash to get my name in the credits. Also, for a video game crowdfund, myself and 1,000 other schmucks paid maybe $100 so that if in the game the player dials a wrong number, and it's your specific number, then it plays the voicemail greeting you recorded.
And you have plenty of followers *way* crazier than myself. Could be a cash cow.

You should consider some signed copies, when it first hits the street.
Also, squeeze in some inside Hollywood "dirt", just to get some buzz and press! You know, something sly... as a seemingly meaningless quip or something.
